About the wine
Barolo is the king of Italian reds. Nebbiolo from Piedmont, a minimum of 38 months of aging with 18 in oak — DOCG, Italy’s highest denomination. Garnet color that lightens quickly at the rim, complex aromas of dried rose, tar, stewed cherry and old leather. Firm tannins on the palate that ask for heavy food, acidity that holds it all together, a very long finish. A wine that asks for attention and patience. Serve between 16°C and 18°C, ideally decanted for 30 to 60 minutes.
