About the wine
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is Italian table wine, the kind that asks for no occasion, just food. The Montepulciano grape (not to be confused with the town in Tuscany), from central-eastern Italy. Intense ruby color, aromas of black cherry, ripe plum and an herbal base. Full fruit on the palate, soft tannins, moderate acidity, a fruity finish. A red to open and drink without ceremony. Serve between 16°C and 18°C. Pairs with meat-sauce pasta, pizza, real Italian cooking.
