About the wine
A Sicilian red from Nero d'Avola, the island’s flagship grape. Volcanic soil, intense sun, vineyards near the sea — a terroir that gives warm wines, but with acidity. Deep ruby color, aromas of ripe cherry, black plum and a base of bitter chocolate. Full-bodied on the palate, soft tannins, a slightly warm alcoholic finish, typical of the climate. A generous red, no frills. Serve between 16°C and 18°C. Pairs well with meat-sauce pasta and southern Italian cooking.
